'Let's Dance' (2016) Success & Thanks

(October 26, 2016)

It's all over for another year! Thank you so much to everyone who attended our show nights this week to support our school and allow all of us here to continue doing what we love. We hope you all enjoyed our production as much as we enjoyed putting it on!

Huge well done to all of our students participating this year, who were fantastic and danced their hearts out. Go and have a well deserved rest and enjoy a relaxing week off during half-term. We will see you all again on Monday (for Grade Ballet, remember there's no Performing Arts on!).

Thanks and love to all the staff and volunteers who work so hard to make the school and our shows what they are, giving up their free time to help with rehearsal days, backstage work and in the wings. Until you witness it first-hand, it's easy to underestimate just how much graft and dedication goes into preparing for and performing the show!

Congratulations are also in order for our 'Smiley Award' winners for impressing this year's judges with their gleaming smiles!

Monday Night Awards:
Junior - Holly Gigg
Senior - Molly Clements

Tuesday Night Awards:

Thank you for making 'Let's Dance' (2016) a special experience for all of us involved and we hope to see you again soon at another event!

We end with nothing more to say except good luck to this year's leavers, we wish you all the best in your future endeavours, wherever your journey may take you next!

"I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise it won't be boring" - David Bowie

As we do every year, here are some samples from the wonderful post-show comments left for us via our Facebook page:

"Really enjoyed the show. Love the interaction between dance, dialogue and song. Alice in Wonderland was really well done, and congrats to all the part 2 girls for song, choreography, and enthusiasm!"

"It was another great show. It's lovely to see the hard work and dedication the girls put in and the support they give each other"

"Another brilliant show, and absolutely lovely smiles all around!"

"Absolutely fantastic, what a great show x"

"We thought it was a great show & very professional. The costumes were fantastic too. What a lot of work must have gone in to the whole production."
