🏆 Open & Presentation Day - Thanks 🏆

(March 18, 2018)

We would all like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who came to our (Sn)O(w)pen & Presentation Day today! We're very warmed and humbled at the efforts of all the students, parents and attendants who came despite some inclement weather.

We would also like to thank everyone who came early for the afternoon performance after it had to be moved last minute. We have lots of members of the local community who are part of our dance school, but also many who come in from further afield. We had parents and students travelling in from Woolley Moor, Alfreton, North & South Wingfield and Pilsley to name a few.

We went ahead with the AM performance as scheduled with no problems but we received a call during the performance telling us that we had to be cleared out by 2pm rather than the original time we had booked the venue for.

At such late notice we made a snap decision to move the PM performance forward rather than having a lunch break, and did our very best to inform everyone via texts and social media, and encourage parents and students to spread messages around for the time change. We're very grateful to you all for making that happen. As in our previous status, this situation was unfortunately completely out of our hands. We fully intended the day to go ahead as scheduled and most staff, students and attendants had little problem making arrangements to get to the venue.

Thanks to your community and dance family spirit, we were able to get the word out and successfully do both the AM and PM performances and award presentations, and the students all worked fantastically, making us very, very proud!

Thank you all very much for continuing to support Jowett School of Danceand rallying together with us during the challenges we sometimes face. We do it all for the dancers!

You can still view a few shots from the day over on our Snapchat and Instagram stories, and don't forget that NEXT WEEK IS ONESIE WEEK!
